Hidden Investigation: Who Did It? is rated 2.2 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Was Fun I enjoyed the demo. Even though it was not a challenging game, I liked it quite a bit. Crime-solving mysteries always capture my interest, and this game was more fun than I anticipated. Searching for the same objects repeatedly, in the same scenes, started out as a drag but as the game progressed it turned into a fun mission I had to accomplish. The different styles of HOs were used throughout and there were mini-games in which to examine your evidence. 5 stars are earned for your accomplishments. You lose points for misclicks but no penalty for hints. Don't worry about how long you spend on a level, there isn't really a "time's up", however, earning your 5 stars will take longer. No biggie, I'm in no hurry! The graphics were good and I had no trouble with finding the hidden objects. The handy zoom feature was nice if you need a little help. The game was not complex. For me it was a refreshing little change from the norm which enticed me enough to give a 5 star review. Wish we had more SE crime-solving games. God Bless....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun It is a really fun Hidden Objects Game. There is a lot of Hidden objects to find. There is unscramble the words. words find the pictures. It is great for the family. My 12 year old Grandson loves it to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old-school HOG mixed with investigation Review based on trial. This game felt familiar for some reason; perhaps it's because these devs have great graphics with their own style of attention to details. I realized after downloading the 1GB file and started to play that it has no timer per se... the faster you go and the fewer misclicks you make, the more points you make to gain your stars faster; stars allow you to make progress in the game. Unfortunately, the "tips" that appear between scenes disappear right away, so you don't get the chance to read them. That too felt familiar and then it occurred to me that I had played this as a free-to-play game about 1 year ago (Summer 2018). I didn't complete the BFG version so I cannot tell you if this release is different from the original, which had 4 "chapters"; but I can tell you that if you enjoy solving a good mystery with crisp HO scenes (and a sprinkle of mini-games), you'll get a good bang for your buck here. There's only 1 profile, but you can "reset" the game to start fresh.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! This game is a genuine gem! (And it's from Brave Giant games). You have to solve a crime and you get hints in some hidden objects scenes. In each scene, you level up until you face the culprit or else. The hidden objects are beautiful and not so hard to find. You can even scroll your mouse to get a bigger picture of the objects. The words in the dialogues or the hidden objects itself are really easy to read and clear... like I always wanted for other games. The game make me think of some free to play games. Pure magic!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Confess! Who here done did it?! This is a lovely hidden object mystery game reminiscent of yesteryear. Each level presents a new case where you have to search various scenes for clues. As you earn stars you use them to talk to witnesses or to process evidence. After gathering all the testimonies and completing forensics you solve the crime or mystery. There is a hint button, a magnet to gather items faster, and a skip feature for intermittent mini-games. I'm finding this game to be enjoyable and relaxing. The gameplay is smooth with no glitches and the graphics and atmosphere are spot on. VERY IMPORTANT: To complete the tutorial you must have an external mouse otherwise you will not be able to advance. (At least on my MAC.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from HENDID INVITAGONIEST No lip sync? No different playing modes? No CE? No, this game was released as FreeToPlay for iOS/Android devices some years ago. It still has many features of an FTP as the high amount of points you earn, revisiting areas, not really an elaborate story and more. I enjoyed playing the game then and I even more enjoy it now: finally on a big screen. Usually I’m not a fan of revisiting scenes. But the differents modes for HO scenes are fun fun fun. The items change every time you play. My favourite search mode, hence the title of the review, is „scrambled“ clues. You have to find „GAREPS“ or „FGIHHLLSAT“ in one round, in the next one the words are scrambled in a different way. Usually I don’t enjoy items in HO’s which are out of proportion. Here you’ll have to find moths the size of a gramophone. Never mind, you can try to speed up from round to round and earn more points. Usually I don’t like playing in a competitative way, here it was fun! The story is basic, but, whether it was intended or not, so ironically twisted, so overblown I had to laugh out loud. Yes, the music and the mini-games are repetititive, the game mechanics do not compare to a HOPA. But a game that is addictive, makes me laugh and scratching my head over scrambled words is pure fun for me. RTY DNA JYONE!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from THERE'S A BRAVE NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN! Completed Demo This is an old-fashioned HOG (hidden object game) crime-solving mystery where you search the same scene repeatedly to locate clues (vaguely) and solve the crime. I've always been a fan of this particular developer who always took the time to visit our now abolished fishy forums, to me that shows how much a developer cares when they take the time to answer questions and gather feedback to make adjustments in future releases, so I have a lot of respect for BG. Does anyone else miss the good ole days? This is one of those games where it isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea because you have to search for the same objects in the same scene over and over until you "master" the level and earn the required 5-Stars to progress the investigation and unlock new scenes. Each time you investigate the scene, the Hidden Object method is different, such as Standard Listed Items, Silhouetted Shapes, Multiples of the same object, or Scrambled Letter variations. The objects are easily recognizable and the scenes themselves are clear, you can left-click to zoom in, and then drag the scene around to search for items. There is a Hint feature that you aren't penalized for using but points are deducted for misclicks. The Magnet feature will collect any object on the list when you drag it around the scene but it takes a while to recharge. The faster you complete the level, the more points you'll earn, you can earn a full star or just a portion of a star depending on the amount of time it took you to complete the level. There isn't an Untimed option (unless it's hidden somewhere) but it doesn't matter how long it takes you to complete a level, you won't run out of time, it'll just take you longer to get to the 5-Star goal, it's not a stressful kind of timed mode if that makes sense? The Stars earned by completing the Hidden Object Scenes are used to investigate or examine evidence in the form of a mini-game, such as using a magnifying glass to locate specific patterns on a Fingerprint or clicking the mouse to stop the ball when it is in the targeted zone of several different types of targets. I was really surprised by how well I enjoyed playing this game, I thought it would be really boring to look for the same objects in the same scenes over and over, instead, I found it to be strangely addicting!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just an OK game Game has no real directions. Just seems more for a child. I am not impressed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from SAME OBJECTS OVER AND OVER AGAIN This is a very simplistic game that provides no challenge at all. Each HOS has only 10 or so HO to find. That would be OK, if you didn't have to play the same scene over and over again to solve each investigation. How many times can you find 12 screws or 12 Christmas balls before you want to tear your hair out? In the case of the screws, I had to find them 3 or more times in the first investigation. Every scene in each investigation recurred many times so it became a joke to "search" for the HO's. All you had to do was click on the same thing over and over again. So the theme of this game is "over and over again" which, IMHO, is a waste of time. Play the demo and you will see what I mean. Or better yet, take my word for it; this game is a dud.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's All in Your Mind! I am, of course, referring to the story in this junk pile HOG. The dialogue, such as it is, is read on-screen. The music can be turned on or off in settings. There are no levels of play and you won't have your name in this game. The HOPs are varied with names, sillouettes, jumbled words, etc. and each scene is played repeatedly till you earn five stars. Scenes are a mix of photos and drawings. There will be a brief puzzle in between sections of the "story." Frankly, I bailed after going through a couple of the locations. Boredom overcame me and I left for greener pastures, i.e. a game with better artwork, story, and game play. This game needs a preview before you commit to it. Please play the demo.
