Death at Fairing Point: A Dana Knightstone Novel is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 79.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The right amount of Romance Romance games are not my type but after playing the trail, I found myself entranced by this mysterious story and wanted to figure out what happened to these love birds and help them find their happy ending. Nice having a mixture of darker locations (night time ones) and light cheerful ones. Travelling to all the different locations really gave you a sense you were trying to solve the mystery and the complexity of the story. HO scenes were relatively straight forward but they tossed in a few different types of scenes to mix it up which was great. Mini games were of a decent difficulty, some were quite easy to solve whereas others required a little more thinking. Great start to the series and I'll be buying the other ones for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Fun Journey to Another Age! I found this game very interesting and entertaining for two main reasons: 1) it had a great storyline which created the magic sense of a film or even a book 2) the games in the story where not at all too much or too little and had a good level of difficulty. It was a fantastic combination of story and game play which you can only find in vary few games mainly coming from films.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Detecting in a Genteel way! What a delightful game. Story line is standard - but the execution of it is suberb! I enjoy this game - and BOOM ZAP has done it again. Such a pleasant way to spend rainy afternoon - this game is great. No Monsters, No Trials and Tribulations, no Withches, but just old fashioned mystery in a very nice settings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Relief from incesant HOG I am fairly new to these games but have quickly discovered that I prefer to be "active" rather than solve one hidden object puzzle after another. That gets really boring. I am not a romance novel fan but at least this game had a logical story to follow and you had some specific goal. And romance is far better than immersing yourself in one dark story after another. The graphics are great. I don't listen to the music on any game because it becomes tedious but the background sounds were just enough to let you know you were interacting. All in all a pleasant game. Am downloading Tuscan as I type. I also hope the developers read these reviews. Would love to see more positive games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very refreshing and entertaining I'm a huge fan of the games that are more light-hearted and are visually intriguing. This is exactly my cup of tea. Some of the tasks don't flow with the story but the hint button will work you through those. My advice is to use the trial to feel it out. Also, go through the tutorial because some puzzles give you tools to return instead of tools to use to move forward and ways to speed up the loading of the hint. This is a very good mystery with clever twists.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best This has got to be one of the best HOGs that I have played in a long time. The hidden objects puzzles were few and far between, yet, there were many different kinds of puzzles to play. As a whole, all the puzzles were challenging. The story was a riveting and sad love story. The illustrations were beautiful. The blog walk-through was helpful although I noticed a couple of small errors. These did not have a major impact on the helpfulness of the walk-through. I will play this again and again. It was worth every penny paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Death at Fairing Point : An Excellent Game! I'm the kind of gamer who likes "spooky", so I was a little unsure about whether I'd like the idea of a 'love story'-themed game. I downloaded the trial version of the game first, but was so hooked within 10 minutes I bought it without finishing the hour. I prefer games where you can move about in/between scenes, and this was perfect. There was enough to-ing and fro-ing to keep you busy without it being annoying, and there were in fact very few HOGs, which really didn't matter that much because the puzzles were so enjoyable. The puzzles were, for me personally, quite innovative #and therefore a refreshing change!# compared to a lot of other games I've played. They had just the right amount of challenge to them in places to have you scratching your head - I had to get the odd hint here and there - but by and large you could work it out with a bit of thought. The storyline was engaging and drew me in, and flowed perfectly to its conclusion. I'd recommend this game 100% - in fact, I loved it so much I immediately bought the other game in the series :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good game I purchased it on the Daily Deal expecting an average game and was delightfully surprised by the game quality!! The story is interesting and kept me guessing who did it. The graphics and sound are good. It was challenging enough that I needed to consult the Walk Through in a few places. Based on this game I will check out the other one in the series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really enjoyed this game There are lots of interesting puzzles to do in this game. It is more of an adventure game with a hidden object component with intriguing puzzles to solve. Thoroughly enjoyed it and found it hard to quit playing:-) There are also awards, such as for not skipping puzzles which makes its a little more fun to play.
