Fishdom 3 Collector's Edition is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 96.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of the Fishdom series so far In spite of some reviews I saw above, there are *no* "impossible" levels. The levels have been repeating for a while now, so I'm confident that I've see all of them. I'm currently on board level 345, and I'm level 39. There are, however, some tricky levels ... but if you look closely at the setup before you begin making matches, you can see what you have to do to complete the level. Often, the chain "explosions" in that sort of level are spectacular. The game can be played with or without a timer, which makes it quite nice for all types of players. For those who don't know, the little fishies are cute, interact with each other, and with you. When you think you've seen everything they do/say, they come up with something new. You can buy as many aquariums as you want, fill them with lots of themed objects and attractive plants, and put up to 12 fish in each aquarium. There are 8 different themes, each with their own backgrounds and objects, which can be mixed and matched. The rewards for game play are well balanced, unlike Fishdom's "Depths of Time". Also, the playing board is larger, so that you're not constantly frustrated because of reshuffles (and worse) due to the lack of matching objects. The game is also nicer than the original Fishdom ... since you can't get rid of the timer on that one, and the fish aren't as cute (or smart). All in all a good game, if you like match 3 and playing something relaxing which allows you to be creative. Entertaining all the way around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the Fishes! This is, hands down my favorite match 3 game and I never seem to tire of playing it. Very relaxed play with a larger than normal playing field so when you get stuck there is always somewhere to go. What I appreciate the most though is the fish- yes, the fish. As you progress you earn coins to purchase and decorate numerous fish tanks. When you populate these tanks with fish they swim around and entertain you with the little games they play, synchronized swimming and jokes every time you return to the tanks. I am impressed at how many different amusements the game developers programmed in. Once I tried to delete a fish in one of my tanks but as soon as I rolled the mouse over it with the net the fish looked straight at me, got SUPER sad eyes and wiggled a little.... I just couldn't do it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where's Fishdon 4? I love the interaction of the fish-but getting tired after16 tanks of the same decorations. Although I have creative with the décor, but I want a new game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super M3 Only play puzzle games. Wanted to learn how to play M3, purchased Collector's Edition. M3 was difficult for a bit, but the comical, talking fish kept me enjoy playing for hours! The more you play the easier it gets to understand what you have to do to win. Solving puzzles & caring for fish gives rewards used to decorate fish tank/s. Super choice of fish, backgrounds & decorations. Excellent visual and levels of challenge! Not much of a storyline...fish encouraging you play/win.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE ONLY GAME YOU WILL EVER NEED I wonder if there is ever an end to this game. This is the second game in the series that I have played and both times I had to decide how many achievements I wanted to earn before I finally quit playing. I played a lot of hours over weeks to get to that point. There is so much to do in this game. The Match 3 grids are complicated with lots of obstacles to remove, specific tiles to release, power ups to be used, etc. Many of these actions in the grids also relate to earning various achievements. Completing the Match 3 grids earns coins of various amounts (1500 to over 6000) based on actions completed, like uncovering gold/diamond tiles and freeing artifacts and "pieces". These coins can then be used to purchase items to build an aquarium from the ground up. First is the purchase of the aquarium, then a background, adding fish, ornaments and plants to decorate it. The variety of fish, ornaments and plants is amazing. Some of the ornaments are funny and are grouped to fit into an aquarium with a specific background. There are 8 backgrounds in all, my favorite being the farm one and the Japanese one. There is one background that offers a moon-like theme that is very unique. Adding fish, ornaments and plants earn XP points and "beauty" points. The accumulation of beauty points earns the aquarium gold trophy cups for beauty. Each gold cup increases the aquarium's capacity for fish by 3. The maximum level of an aquarium is 12 fish and 3 gold cups. That doesn't mean the aquarium is finished, it just means that is the highest level that results in achievements. You can continue to work on any given aquarium endlessly; selling fish, ornaments and plants, replacing them with different ones, changing backgrounds, etc., etc. One of my stopping points was to earn the achievement of having 7 aquariums at the maximum level. There is an inventory where you can put fish, ornaments or plants to transfer to another aquarium, hold for future sale, or just earn an achievement, the maximum being having 50 items in inventory. When you purchase a fish, and there are lots to choose from, you can select the between male or female and a name for it. The fish talk to you and among themselves and the dialog is witty and fun. The fish need to be fed and the aquariums cleaned periodically, earning XP stars. Once a certain number of stars have accumulated, you level up and receive an additional 10,000 coins. Some of the achievements are based on how many levels you complete in total and in a given amount of time. I was at level 77 when I quit. One of the achievements based on completing levels had 3 stages, the final one being completing 1,000 levels. Imagine how many weeks I would have had to play to reach this point. There are so many achievements that I can't imagine the time it would take to earn all of them. I created 10 aquariums, another achievement level, but then that achievement increased to 20 aquariums, which was just too much time I wanted to devote to one game. And on top of all of this, you can select to play the timed mode of the game. I never play a timed game if I have a choice, so I can't begin to imagine how adding a time restriction to gameplay would complicate things and extend the time needed to complete various actions. Have I forgotten any of the aspects of the game in this review? Absolutely. There are so many things, so many that are interrelated, that any review covering all of the aspects would be pages long. If you only buy one game in your life, buy one of the Fishdom games as you can play it endlessly. It is so entertaining that you would never get bored and would never need another game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from loubie lou fantastic game. I have literally played this every day since purchase and own a few of the others in the set all equally great. The next step for me would be to have a game in the series that was a little more serious/adult so we could build more realistic, beautiful aquariums

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best ever Fishdom This is really the best Fishdom game ever. The fish are cuter & have attitude. When I got back after playing a level & not finishing it so I could write this review my fish told me " Joan I like it better when you come back with coins" too funny! The game play is easy to set to the level you want harder more challenging or easy peasy relaxed mode. The backgrounds are gorgeous, loads of new fish & decorations to buy. Excellent game again! I'd give it more stars if I could!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Beautiful Aquarium Game :D Fishdom 3, another fun, cute, exciting match-3 aquarium game added to the series :D I love this game. It's so cute to build up your aquarium just like the previous versions, but now with more themes and different sort of fish :D Create and design your aquarium by collecting money by playing match-3 game levels :D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Value for money Is there an end to this game ? It is such good value as I have played it for months now and haven't reached the end ! The game play is, for me, standard Match 3 and there is no story line(again fine by me as I just enjoy the gameplay), the graphics are good and the talking fish are cute but I would like to actually finish the game as this adds to my enjoyment as I feel I have achieved something else apart from each level.
