Brought to you by Artifex Mundi, the creators of the Enigmatis and Nightmares from the Deep series.

Within the shadow of an ancient forest, on the bottom of the foggy valley, stands the lonely village of Ravenbrook. Its perimeter is protected by the villagers' charms, but beyond the legends and the magic, the gloomy forests and wailing wind, lies a chasm so deep and feared, it is known by the villagers only as The Abyss. No one knows what lies within, but when a strange visitor arrives in Ravenbrook just before a young bride is kidnapped, the villagers find justification for their superstitions...

Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh, my; I got teary eyed at the end! I played this game in one sitting, that's how engrossed I was in the story. I think I started about 6 and it's 2:20 am, so about 6 hours of play. Good thing it's Saturday night! I won't rehash what's already been said, but I will say I think it's quite poor sport for a reviewer to give a game one star based strictly on the demo, or because one doesn't like this type of game. This wasn't a perfect game, but the story is intriguing, and there is enough action to keep one interested through out. Great fun!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Developers Best! I bought this in the Collectors Edition and am so glad I did! This is one of those times you should seriously consider the CE. Its is sooooo worth it and gives the game more meaning and empowers way more fun and relaxation. Please consider the CE. Here is why. I really enjoyed this game and as a collectors edition too. I loved the challenge of finding those fairies and the elusive objects. I loved the finished products! I loved the book that told the story of the witch's life and that you had to collect a piece at a time to bring it to life. That was so great! I was over the moon about the fairy board too. Each fairy had a name and something that inspired their lives, the giggling and breathy noises they made when clicking each one was adorable. The developers put a lot into this one! This is one of the best CE's. I loved the graphics, the music, each scene was a new wonder. This is a long game too. The Bonus is short(about the same as other games) but its worth the CE for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really enjoyed it The game is nice and long, the graphics are beautiful, and the storyline is good. The HOS are good, some lists some picture, some build an item. This review is based on the SE. I hope the developer does more in this line!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I REALLY ENJOYED THIS I enjoyed the treatment of the HOS and the storyline was very good. HOS games are about all you get nowadays as far as casual games go, so it's good to find a worthy one and this one certainly was.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best I have been playing Hidden Object games for years. Love the way you can choose between Casual, etc. I enjoy casual 99% of the time. Most of the game I didn't need the walkthru, but did need it about 4 times. Most of the puzzles were enjoyable and not too easy, but a few take time to solve or I skipped. Enjoyed the story line quite a bit with an ending that doesn't leave you "hanging. Definitely worth the time. Kudos to Artifex.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a real 5 star game! Finally a game I enjoyed from start to finish! I Loved everything about this game, other then the characters were a bit crudely drawn. It was relatively easy and straight forward which is what I like when I just want to relax and have fun. This was just that fun and relaxing with an actual story! There were two things that made me really like this game, 1. not a lot of back and forth back and forth just to extend game play and 2. it had a wonderful cohesive storyline! The story unfolded gradually through out the game with cut scenes or letters you find along the way. Another thing I like is the fact that there were other characters in the game you talked/interacted with. The games were mostly pretty easy which is how I like them but many were different from all the other games I've played. This is the first game I've fully enjoyed in a very long time! It would get 10 stars from me If I could go up that high! I'm off to purchase the other Grim Legends game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Could Bear-ly Wait For This SE The Villagers of a small town have feared the Abyss, feared the evil that resides deep within. Nobody enters the dark forest, everyone fears the unknown. But when a huge bear wreaks havoc on the pre-wedding party and kidnaps your twin sister Lillie, it's more than the townspeople can bear! They Grim and Bear their fears and chase after this beast into the depths of the forest. Meanwhile, an accident in the forest has landed you smack dab into an enchanted cove. As you tinker with gadgets and fix everything broken you come across a witch's cabin, friend or foe? The game begins with some heart pounding action as your carriage is nearly destroyed by this same bear, but the good mews is that you find a kitten to help you chase away rats and retrieve items out of reach. The hidden object games are a variety of finding fragments that make a complete inventory item, as well as finding the first item that matches the silhouetted shape and using this item back in the scene such as a key, using it on a lock, and then finding the next item. You can switch to a game of dominos in place of the HOS. The very first mini game was repairing Lillie's wedding necklace in three steps. First you had to switch flower petals so that each section had matching shapes like circles and squares. Then you had to slide middle gems around until they were in the flower with their matching color. The third step was to link chains from one flower to it's matching flower. The mini game I liked the best was linking colored tiles together with ropes, but you can't cross path's with other colors. A really nice game with an excellent story, enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game I didn't think I would like this game - the story seems so sappy. Turns out, this is a great game. The sappy story was well-told, and it had a few twists. Game play is superb. The HOS are varied and include fragmented objects and lots of IA with some puzzles in the mix. The regular puzzles are good, too. The HINT button works well pointing you in the right direction. There is a jump map, too. The game is long and well thought out. I really enjoyed playing the game.
