Dangerous Games: Illusionist Collector's Edition is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 55.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THE PSYCHO MAGICIAN! It's like Houdini on acid or your average every day incredibly insane illusionist. The result... a great game where just about anything goes and does. After all, who can predict what a narcisstic illusionist with a god complex will do next? And this quickly becomes the driving force of the game. What peril must you escape next? The graphics are vivid and vibrant. The mini-games and HO scenes are varied are also great fun. Had a great time... Thanks developers for another great game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Phantom of the Opera is here…as an illusionist(Based off demo) I don't know about you guys but I saw alot of refrences to the Phantom of the Opera in my opinion. This guy is an illusionist, a magician, he lit the house on fire, and he has returned as a ghost. Now unfortunely I can't get this game cause the Dangerous Game before this isn't my forte, but I would gladly take this game and lable it as Chapter 1 or something. The puzzles are great, the HOPs are great, the story is great and I'm excited to see how it ends. Unfortuntly I can't give me grade but as a gamer and as a phantom-phan, I say play the demo and if you like or love it get the game to see how it ends and if you can spot more refrences.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Well Done Game. Creators Gave Lots of Attention To Detail. Adventure games are generally not my favorite. Running back & forth, here & there without any real logic can be annoying. BUT this game it all makes sense and comes together very creatively. The voice over & graphics are some of the best ever. The HOS & mini games provide some challenge and are better than most with some unique aspects. Good story enhanced by the sound & music. I loved the demo & will buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A totally unexpected 5 stars for me !! This was a very unexpected win/win situation for me. Loved the games, plot, and the length of the game. Found myself excited about what was ahead in this game. Would highly recommend this for all levels of expertise. You can always change if it is to easy or hard. I did have to refer to the strategy guide a couple of times, and skipped a puzzle that the answer dawned on me later in. I must say that I totally forgot to look for the morphing cards after about 10 scenes or so, so I plan on going back this snowy day and replaying to do that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game Loved it..... new and fun mini-games and puzzles which I like a lot. Really enjoyed the story, and nice crisp graphics. Not enough in the CE for me to buy, so I think will wait for the SE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One Word Amazing.!!!! What can you say but perfection. The HO'S are just what I absolutely love. Shapes maybe one scene or two that is all no more. Give me more and I will stay a member not the usual junk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BUBBLY CHAMPAGNE FOR THE IMAGINATION I found it progressively fun and the more fun moving on and through the bonus game. More pleasing too because the threats of the villian was not only powerless as usual and even boringly usual in these games, but one came to feel the whole as illusion including all the ups and downs of the illusionist who as far as I could count left no dead bodies or deeply damaged lives. Could it be that his evil too is an illusion? Anyway that is the effect and then one is left with the colors and dancing forms through which to make your way by land and sea yet all the movement too as illusory in the story as these games are in our lives There is room for a sequel and I hope its imaginative touch can be as sure as that of this game seems to me. I am happy to be able to give a five which is not just with a sigh to support the genre. And a recommendation especially to anyone who can enjoy a plot that turns into a bright mysterious bubbling champagne to taste in an art deco dream.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Job Based on the demo, this is a great game. I really enjoyed playing it, but the demo was awfully short. I played on the hardest level and finished it in 39 minutes, which makes me really wonder if the game itself is not a short one. That being said I give it kudos for great art, and a storyline that while not new (A reporter whom a vanished magician has a grudge against) keeps you interested. Nice mini games mixed with hidden objects. I am going to wait to purchase though until I find out how long the game actually is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do you want to be a magician? This game is a lot trickier than it first appears. The longer you play it, the more intricate it becomes. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it took me a bit to get into it. So you are a reporter set to cover the 2nd World Championship of Illusionists taking place at the Taylor Hotel. You covered the first one and exposed the winner as a fake, even though the winner died in a fire that gutted the hotel. So now the "dead" winner has returned to the competition, and made one of the contestants disappear. So, intrepid reporter that you are, you set out to explore the theater and uncover the latest "trick" of the Red Mask Illusionist! This game has several nice touches. You get a beautiful map of the theater, with some rooms that don't let you jump backwards once you move on. There are Illusion Goggles that let you see behind the magic messages the Red Mask guy keeps taunting you with. One of my favorite parts is the morphing trick cards collection, that show you how all the magic tricks you've watched as a kid are performed. But the best part of this game are the HOPs and mini-games. The HOPs are interactive. One of them has you finding 6 gems by creating a potion, filling in a story, sawing a box in half, loading a revolver to get a flag to find the order to press the gems to get the code to finally get the key to the door! Each piece of the puzzle kept to the theme of magic tricks and was very clever. One of the unique mini-games deals with two birds in cages - after you solve a HOP to build the bird. You then have to match the bird life cycles to pictures that flash and step you through the life cycle. I was hooked! I'm gonna use this weekend special to buy! Try it -- it is very cool!
