Midnight Calling: Jeronimo is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too Blue Were it not for the intense blue everywhere, I would probably have enjoyed playing the demo more, but even after turning down the gamma, the blue was very hard on my eyes, and with the gamma down, some of the darker areas were more difficult to see into. Beyond that, I was enjoying the story, the graphics, and the game play. Even the little helper guy was pretty cool, and I'm not a big fan of most helpers. I'd probably add this one to my shelf along with the little scarecrow and the imp. I really want to adopt the imp! If they came out with toys of those guys, I'd be first in line to buy them! I'll probably keep this game on hold for a while and see if it goes on sale. I'm wondering if maybe the blue won't be as hard to look at in daylight.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average kind of game There is nothing that jumps out on this game that would make me want to buy it but this wasn't a bad game. Typical HO game where you flit back and forth finding articles and objects to find others. Like I said, nothing spectacular. Graphics are a little above average and they do occasionally throw in some color and the characters aren't cartoonish. This is not my cup of tea but I would recommend it for the die hard HO lover.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice but short game If you're a guy who plays HO games, this game might appeal to you, as the protagonist is a guy (who looks like a sailor) narrates his adventure defeating the wicked witch. Can't remember rest of the story. It's a game that plays quickly because actions are logical, mini games are on easy side. It's not a bad game, just not outstanding in my opinion. I would have enjoyed the game more if it had been longer or had nicer artwork. I don't pay too much attention to the storyline, as the plot is usually the same--defeating the villain, saving the world, rescuing a family member, unearthing a hidden world or secret, etc. Give the demo a try to see if it suits your fancy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not my cup of tea. Based on the demo: Gameplay thus far has consisted almost entirely of looking for this to open that. I wound up using the map incessantly to look for active areas, because there were so many bits & bobs to chase down that by the time I found one, I more often than not had no idea where it went anymore...& that was playing in just a few areas. It's really too bad, because the graphics are gorgeous, but gameplay was so one-dimensional, it brought me no pleasure to play this. By all means, do the demo, but I can see no basis on which to recommend this game.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too easy. One of the easiest demo's I've played. Approx. 30mins., played. Puzzles & H.O.S. really easy, so, for myself, no challenge, whatsoever. Yet another 'helper' game! ARGH!!! The scenes, I played, were very bluey. Hint button is an orb type thing. It moves about, slightly, Has blinking 'eyes' & and has 'flame' type stuff coming out of it. Too distracting. As always, this is just my opinion.
