Lost Lands: Redemption is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from a good HO game this is a story about the lost lands. it is another installment in the series. it is kind of confusing but that is probably my fault. i can't remember the earlier ones. some of it is familiar but some of the back story i don't remember. i played on th4e custom level. good hint system. i had to skip a good many of the mini games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Imaginative play, unusual puzzles and a real adventure! SE version: Great game and fairly long. Lots to do mixed with adventure; like reading a book - you really don't know what's going to happen next. I loved the graphics and the soundtrack. (As usual), I turned off the music and was in awe of the sounds, especially of nature and the loons! A lot of care went into the creation of this game and I so appreciate the developers efforts. I was emotionally drawn into the emotions of the game, as I'm sure was intended... they got me! I highly recommend this game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! Wow! This game is out of this world. The graphic, the sound effects, the way the games flows over you... Some of the puzzles were the best I have ever played. Like the one at the beginning when you are climbing out... Amazing! And the first video was stunning. Maybe there's a little bit of too much dialog in this one... But, when the big picture is revealed it can be said that this game is an overwhelming experience for all the mystery fantasy lovers out there. Definitely try this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WAIT FOR A SALE IF NEED BE BUT THE CE VERSION'S BLING IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! Completed Game approximately 8.0 Hours (including completion of all puzzles & Bonus Chapter 30 Scene Locations +12 CE Bonus Chapter Difficulty Range: Intermediate-Expert (& a great way to cut your teeth for beginners) Susan has been summoned to the Lost Lands once again, but this voyage stirs emotions of inner turmoil as she struggles to balance life in the Lost Lands as a Warmaiden, and life on Earth as a mother and wife. Neither life will matter, however, if Susan doesn't choose Maaron over Jimmy because Drak UL's heart has been uncovered on Earth and must be returned to the Lost Lands for safe-keeping. If the heart falls into the wrong hands, both worlds could be destroyed if Drak Ul the giants' heart and soul are reunited. I know most of us don't think about what goes on behind the scenes, and I'm not even sure the developers realize that they are light-years ahead of all others. Pay attention to the details folks, look at the graphics, the characters movement animations (okay, disregard a few creepy eyelid movements or creepy sign-language flitter fingers) Think about the work that went into creating those incredible morphs & interactive collectibles (CE version only)...and think about the incredible price point for all that work! Pay attention to the surroundings, the realistic atmosphere, and the realistic interactive tasks. These devs have been to Mars and back folks, they have looped around other galaxies several times, while other devs can only manage to come up with the same 'ole, smoking out hundreds of beehives, placing a gazillion emblems, spirals & symbols, sticky note hints plastered everywhere/no grey matter required, and allowing players to click on a few neon-green lamps! (think about it) THIS is why this developer is my Number One all-time favorite developer, they know how to put the HOPE back into HOPA games! My only complaint is, why did you have to make Jimmy's character so winey & annoying? He isn't a very likable person in this game. Now that he's all grown up, shouldn't he act more mature?...just saying) Morphing Objects/Collectibles (CE version only) Whoa, hold on folks! Just when I thought these guys couldn't possibly make their collectibles any better, they made me start digging for gold, literally, they placed hidden Coins under rocks and other various nooks and crannies! There are 53 Collectibles total, 8 Coins-7 Giant's Mark-7 Susan's Photo Memories-8 Maps-11 Lost Lands Manuscripts and 12 Figurines (in the BC) Each scene also has a Morphing Object, 30 total. You can enable/disable the curser-hand change option when you encounter morphs & collectibles as well as show the scenes with missed collectibles & morphs on the map. Hidden Object Scenes: There are only 12 Hidden Object Scenes +3 in the CE Bonus Chapter, but don't let that deter you because these are some of the most interactive and lengthy, whole-room scene HO's you'll ever see, unless of course, you play other games by this developer. There are only 4 different variations, Interactive List, Interactive Silhouetted Shapes, Interactive Multiples, and Finding & Replacing. The interactions are multi-layered and do require a lot of thought processes because the interactions are not your typical cookie-cutter interactions. Did I mention how talented this team is? My only suggestion to them would be to offer an alternative game for players who may find these too frustrating, or perhaps a skip button feature? Mini-Games: Put on your thinking caps to solve 37 Mini-Games +16 in the CE Bonus Chapter. These aren't impossible puzzles, but they will require a little bit of thought and a little bit of patience. These aren't the kind of games that can be solved in one or two moves, and certainly not by luck of the draw. Did I mention how incredibly talented this team is? Even the Hidden Object Scenes are more like puzzles AND they have mini-games within them! Bonus Chapter: (CE version only) The journey continues right where you left off as Susan, Jimmy and Maaron retrace there steps to search for Maaron's Impaler that was dropped during the main game. There are 3 incredible Hidden Object Scenes and 16 Mini-Games across 12 familiar scenes. There are no Morphs in this chapter but you will search for the final 12 Collectible Figurines (of the last new character in the 3rd chapter!) Collector's Edition Extra's: 10 amazing Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art Pictures, 8 Music Soundtracks, 17 Video Cutscenes, 12 Replayable Mini-Games, 20 Puzzles +5 Bonus Puzzles (you must complete collections to unlock) 53 Collectibles (8 Coins-7 Giant's Mark-7 Susan's Memories-8 Maps-11 Lost Lands Manuscripts-12 Figurines) 30 Morphing Objects, 3 very long Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-In Strategy Guide. Rated 5 out of 5 by from IT’S BEEN A LONG WAIT FOR A NEW LOST LANDS GAME BUT REDEMPTION IS FINALLY HERE At the end of another successful foray into the Lost Lands, Susan is met by Maron who has another mission for her, this one somewhere on Earth where an ancient artifact has been found. This artifact is the beating heart of Drak UL, who was entombed in the Lost Lands while his heart was sent elsewhere to ensure he never regained his destructive power. Susan must now find the heart and make sure it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands or it could spell disaster for all worlds. Working on Earth will ensure Susan is around her family again, but that might not be everything she hoped. I love this developer who is one of the few who has not fallen under the cookie-cutter spell. When I see a game from them, I know it will be content-rich and comparable to those games of yesteryear that many of us long to see once again. They do not release a game every month and, if we are lucky, we might get a game from them twice a year. Lost Lands Redemption is a long game with a well-developed storyline, and one that is packed with extra goodies, time-consuming HOS, and great puzzles. When I play a HOS from this developer it usually takes me a good bit of time to complete as we must find objects to use that will open other objects before we finally reach our goal. At least for me, it is not always easy to find that one elusive item that will get me started to find what I finally need to complete the scene. I am generally not a fan of puzzles or mini-games but I really, really enjoy the puzzles in games from this team. I enjoy puzzles that make me think and take time to solve and those are the type that you will find in Redemption. Lost Lands Redemption will probably be one of the best games I play this year and I know that it will be replayed again in the months and years to come. When I see a game from this development team it is ALWAYS an instant buy for me. No questions asked nor need to play the demo because I know it will be a game that is exactly what I want for the way I love to play. That being said, I always recommend that you try the demo because what I like in a game might be different from what you are looking for so please do try the demo before you buy. If you are new to playing HOPA games, I highly recommend any game from this developer. Happy gaming!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lost Lands This is more of an adventure game than hidden objects. There are some unique features as climbing up a cliff, but I found the story line rather boring and not my cup of tea. I didn't like the graphics -- too much like a comic book. Always try for yourself.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Redemption? This series needs redemption after this episode. STORYLINE: A thoughtful tale involving the Lost Lands's deities of creation, one of whom is a baddie. Susan returns to the Lost Lands again to save the day, this time accompanied by her incredibly whiny, immature teenaged son. Minus one star for the son and his annoying attitude. FUN FACTOR: The gameplay is not remotely intuitive and includes some of the most nonsensical use of inventory items I've ever seen. While the mini-games may have been fantastic, it was difficult to tell because the instructions were so poorly written. HO scenes all included interactions, but they too were not intuitive. I've been a gamer for 40 years, and I've never used so many hints in one game. The map wasn't especially helpful either. VISUAL/SOUND: VOs were mostly decent, except for Susan's son's whining. Visuals were terrific, and you get to get a really good look at them during the numerous lengthy, slow-moving cutscenes. Music was unremarkable. LEVEL OF CHALLENGE: The only reason there was a challenge at all was the weird use of inventory items and the lack of instructions. CONCLUSION: Probably the worst episode of this series and, honestly, I think Susan deserves a vacation, while the Lost Lands should learn to take care of themselves. This game shouldn't have made it out of beta testing. For the reasons described above...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I'm glad I used a cupom for this... I love five b-n games but this was a disappointment. I was super short, and the puzzles were not that challenging. I finished waaaay before other lost lands games.
