Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adventure Game! Marine...how in the world does a young girl learn to fight and gather companions for the biggest quest of her life? You will be transported into a world of side-quests, learning skills and watch Marine grow in her determination to do something for the people. Ah...there are villians you'll need to watch out for, so it's not all smooth sailling. And why does she need these fighting companions? Play to find out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice story, good replay value and entertaining gamplay Nice story, challenging fights, tricky and well thought maps, secret rooms, many spell, armors and weapons, good graphic and music - Millennium: A New Hope has a lot to offer, not only for experienced RPG players but also for newbies (there are different difficulties, you can select monster encounters rate and so on). It's fun to play and I can easilly recommend it to anyone. Plus, there are more parts in the serie to play in case you like it. I should also mention that there are "jumping passages" in some parts of the game and it's really cool and unseen in majority of other similar games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Marine, the beginning of a legend Millennium A New Hope have one of the most touching stories that a game can provide to the player, at least it provided that to me. It tells the story about Marine, a young and poor girl who lives in the poor village of Green Grass with her father and sister. One day her father got injured by the town of Mystrock when was trying to defend his rights and the rights of his people, after that Marine decided to take the matters into her own hands. She decided to find twelve warriors to fight alongside her and defeat the lords of mystrock in a legendary tournament. If she wins she will be the new ruler of myst and will be able to her dad and her people. But this quest won't be easy. Apart from its good story, Millennium also offers great features like secret rooms that contains amazing rewards, atributes orbs which you can change for strenght, resistance, mind and speed points depending of the orb that you collected and lots of side-quests that is not too hard but also not too easy, oh.... almost forgot the Animal Kings, optional monsters that will make you think of great battle strategies in order to defeat them. Millennium is a jewel and must not be missed!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from If you like Aveyond prepare to be disappointed with this As someone who plays a lot of RPGs, I was really disappointed in this one. Perhaps because it is a few years old, but the Aveyonds from the same time are much better than this. The things I dislike that make this a less than great RPG: 1. The battle scenes have huge caricatures of the players taking up half the screen, sometimes obstructing your view of the enemy. why do I need this? 2. you can't just explore as you will, your character will tell you: this isn't the way I need to go. cuts out a lot of the fun. 3. most of this game is played with 2 characters, you don't interact with others until the game is at least half over. 4. there are way too many battles, even if you set your mode for the least battles. you can hardly explore without getting slammed with the same battle after battle after battle. And you can't avoid them, they are invisible until you hit them. 5. There are still several technical glitches in this game that detract from the fun, even years after the release. 6. There is not a good walkthrough available, I at least like to see a map (without markings of impt areas) so I can plan where to go. The BFG as well as other well known sites have awful walkthroughs: "keep going until you find x". Really? Could this be because the developer sells a guide on their site? Nope, at least the first of these is not for me, and not an incentive to buy the next.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really Tedious I played this game through twice and there was a LOT to dislike. Here are the highlights. The game is terribly paced. In every RPG you need to spend time replaying some area over and over again in order to level up your characters or to earn more gold. In this game it was ridiculous. I spent nearly as much time mindlessly replaying the same area to level up as I did with actual game play. The game has numerous secret rooms, mostly with supplies. I couldn't find any way to distinguish the entrance to a secret room from any other wall surface. So, if you want to find all the secret rooms, you have to touch and click on every single pixel in the game. Or buy the strategy guide. The world maps also have hidden areas so, here too, you have to touch every single pixel on the map. The areas outside of villages - world maps, swamps, temples - are large and complex. The problem is that you get attacked every few steps. This makes mapping those areas sheer drudgery. I've played a lot of RPGs and this one is the worst I have played.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Myst This game has nothing to do with the classic game of MYST. It's a simplistic board-style game. The characters are cartoons, not the images you see on the promotions. Don't waste your time if you liked MYST.
