General Tips

There are no penalties for multiple clicks in a scene.
Move the cursor around a scene and observe if it changes. A changed cursor indicates possible actions on the specific area on a scene.
Find all special items (21 Stone Angels) during the game to unlock additional achievements. Angels are not marked in this walkthrough – you'll need to find them on your own.
The game has a native widescreen support. It automatically detects your display (screen) and adjusts itself according to it.
Play – Begin or resume a game. The first time you play you must select a difficulty level. The level can be changed later at any time in the Settings menu – Gamplay.
Settings – Change voice, music and sound effects volume. Also, controls full screen and a custom cursor. You may also change the difficulty level.
Achievements – Show the list of locked and unlocked achievements and short information about each one.
Player –Create, delete or change player profiles.
Help – Short instructions on how to interact with the game.
Exit – Quit the game.
Hint / Skip Bar – Shows a random item on a scene. Hints are not limited and the bar refills based on the mode of play. The bar turns into a Skip bar during puzzles (mini-games).
Task – Lists of current objectives.
Diary – a place where all important events are being logged. You can also see the quick help and game statistics in diary sub-menus.
Inventory– A scrollable list of items you posses or a list of hidden items to be collected and/or combine one with another.
Menu – Change your options, resume the game or return to the main menu.
Arrows – You can walk to another scene.
Hand – Interact with some objects (Easy and Casual modes). On Adventure mode hand icon appears over any item on a scene you can pick up or use.
Magnifying glass – You can zoom or inspect area or object.
Cogs – You can start a mini-game.
Sparkles – Interactive areas.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Before departure you need to get your belongings. These are your monk robe, your cross pendant, and your signet ring.
Pick up the cross pendant and the key (marked yellow).
Remove curtain on the right (marked green) and then take your monk robe from the hanger.
Find SPECIAL hidden item (Angel) to unlock the Achievement. Note: there are total of 21 Angels hidden throughout the game. Find them all to unlock all additional achievements.
Take your signet ring from the table (marked blue).
Left-click on the chest (marked red).

Use the key from your inventory on the chest lock to open the chest.

When the chest opens, solve the mini-game. Easiest solution is to left-click the second knob twice and then the sixth knob also twice (if you get stuck you can revisit the mini-game to reset it).

After you solve the chest mini-game, you will get the ring gemstone. COMBINE the ring gemstone which is now in your inventory with your signet ring (which is also in your inventory). You are now ready to leave for the monastery in Lombardy to begin your investigation (cutscene).
To COMBINE items in your inventory, first click on one item and then on second item you wish to combine it with.

Chapter 2: Arrival

Go straight ahead and talk to the Brother Guido who is waiting for you at the monastery entrance.
Resume past the Brother Guido to the atrium.

Take the bucket (you will need it later), and proceed to the greenhouse through the left door.

Talk to the Brother Boris, he will tell you he needs you to pick the tomatoes and sow the cabbage seeds.
Go past the Brother Boris further to the greenhouse (marked dark blue).

Find the following items: 2x flint stone, hay, log and shovel.
Open the furnace door and put the hay from your inventory inside.
Put log from your inventory onto the stump.
Go ahead to the greenhouse tool storage.

Find the following items: empty basket, sharpening stone and hoe.

Go back past the Brother Boris, and further back past the Brother Guido exit the monastery.
Go left to the stables.

In the stables take the shears and axe.
Use the sharpening stone in your inventory on the axe (which is also in your inventory now) to sharpen the axe.
Go back and return to the greenhouse where Brother Boris is.

Approach the tomatoes.

Pick all the tomatoes using shears (which is in your inventory). Select the shears from your inventory and use them on the tomato vines to get tomatoes.
When you have the tomatoes, put them into the basket in your inventory (do this by COMBINING tomatoes with basket; click on tomatoes, then click on basket.
Now go back to Brother Boris, he will remind you of the seeds.
Exit the greenhouse and go through the rightmost door (you can see picture #7 for reference) into the kitchen.

Find the following items in the kitchen: cabbage seeds, brick and the glove.
Return to the greenhouse (leftmost door).

Proceed further into the greenhouse past the Brother Boris.
You can scroll the inventory by clicking the arrow (marked bright blue in the screenshot).
Use sharpened axe from your inventory on the log you previously put onto the stump. You will get the firewood.
Put the firewood from your inventory into the furnace.
Use the flint stones from your inventory on the furnace to start the fire.
Put the brick from your inventory into the furnace fire.
Use the glove from your inventory on the furnace fire to get the brick back. You will get the hot brick.
Go back to where Brother Boris is.

Use the hoe from your inventory (marked green) on the ground (marked bright blue).
Use cabbage seeds from your inventory on the ground.
Now use shovel from your inventory on the ground to cover the seeds.
We need to get water to water the seeds. Go back to the atrium.

Click the well to bring up the zoom-scene.
Use empty bucket from your inventory on the well.
Use hot brick from your inventory on the well mechanism.
Left-click the bucket on well to get the bucket of water.
Return to the greenhouse and use the bucket of water from your inventory on the ground where you sowed the cabbage.
Return to the atrium and go to the kitchen through the rightmost door.
Talk to the Brother Ezio and give him the basket of tomatoes from your inventory.

After the dialogue, go back to the atrium, keep going back past the Brother Guido and inspect the statue in the main square; click the statue to bring up the zoom-scene and click again to inspect it.

Chapter 3: Night

Go left to the stables.

Find the following items in the stables: cogwheel, round decorated disc and hammer.
Exit the stables and go to the atrium.

Solve the mini-game on the left.
Go to the greenhouse through the leftmost door.

Find the following items in the greenhouse: shovel, cogwheel and round decorated disc.
Proceed further into the greenhouse.

Find the following items further in the greenhouse: pincers, pliers, bucket and cogwheel.
Go back to the atrium and go to the kitchen through the rightmost door.

Find the following items in the kitchen: infirmary key, spoon, round decorated disc and cogwheel.

Go back to the atrium and use the empty bucket from your inventory on the well to get the bucket of water.
Use the infirmary key from your inventory on the middle door.

Find the sharp metal rod in the infirmary.
Click on the table to bring up its zoom-scene.

Use the hammer from your inventory on the protruded tile. A mini-game will be uncovered.
Insert the missing three decorated round discs from your inventory in the empty slots of the mini-game to activate it.
Solve the mini-game to get the red ruby.

Click on the furnace to bring up its zoom-scene.
Use bucket of water from your inventory on the furnace fire to put it out.
Use pincers from your inventory on the furnace coal to get the red ruby.
Go back to the atrium and into the kitchen through the rightmost door.

In the kitchen click on the floor patch to bring up its zoom-scene.

Use the pliers from your inventory on the four nails to pull them out.
Use the sharp metal rod from your inventory on the floor patch to pull it out.
Once the cover is removed, use the spoon from your inventory on the floor hole to take out the red ruby.
Exit the kitchen and go back to the statue.

Click the statue to bring up its zoom-scene.

Use the shovel from your inventory on the snow to remove it, lock mechanism will be uncovered.
Click the lock mechanism to open it.

Use the four cogwheels from your inventory on the cogwheel poles.
Use the four red rubies from your inventory on the small slots.
Mechanism will activate

After the cut-scene/dialogue take the black pyramid.

Chapter 4: Morning

You are in the stables. Talk to the Bertold who is waiting and eager to talk to you.
Find the nail and pliers in the stables.
Exit the stables and go to the atrium entrance.

Take the bucket and proceed to the atrium.

Find the cloth in the atrium.
Use the bucket from your inventory on the well to get the bucket of water again.
Go to the infirmary through the middle door.

Talk to the Brother Yuri in the infirmary, he will tell you he's hungry.
Find the salt in the infirmary.
Click the furnace to bring up its zoom-scene.

Find the violet flower.

Click the table to bring up its zoom-scene.

Find the following items on the table: violet flower, bag of rosemary and nail.
Go back to the atrium and enter the greenhouse through the leftmost door.

Find the hammer in the greenhouse.
Proceed further to the greenhouse.

Find the following items further in the greenhouse: 2x violet flower, watercress, hay and nail.
Proceed to the tool storage.

Find the following items at the tool storage: nail, white wine, violet flower, brush and bobby pin.
Go back to the atrium and into the kitchen through the rightmost door.

Talk to the Brother Ezio, he will tell you about the special guests and ask you to make a soup.
Find the following items in the kitchen: 3x violet flower, bowl, olive oil and sugar.
Click the pots behind the Brother Ezio to bring up the zoom-scene of the pot.
Throw the items which are indicated on the recipe from your inventory into the pot to make the soup.
Once the soup is done (recipe will disappear), use the bowl from your inventory on the pot to get the bowl of hot soup.
Go back to the atrium and enter the infirmary through the middle door.
Give a bowl of hot soup to the Brother Yuri, he will thank you and leave.
Click the table on the left to bring up its zoom-scene.

Use the bobby pin from your inventory on the small locked box. You will get the permission letter.
Exit the infirmary and go back all the way to the stables.
Once at the stables enter the horse barn in front of the Bertold.

Find the horseshoe in the barn.
Put the hay from your inventory in the place for hay.
Use the bucket of water from your inventory on the water bucket to fill it.
Use the cloth from your inventory on the filled water bucket – you will get the wet cloth.
Use the wet cloth from your inventory on the horse.
Use the brush from your inventory on the horse.
Click the horse to bring up the hoof zoom-scene.

Use the pliers from your inventory on the four nails on the old horseshoe to pull them out. Old horseshoe will slide away.
Use the new horseshoe from your inventory and place it on the hoof.
Use the nails from your inventory on the new horseshoe.
Use the hammer from your inventory on each of the four nails.
Exit the barn and the stables.

Go right to the church.
Talk to the templar guardsman in front of the church. He will tell you you need a letter of permission.
Use the permission letter from your inventory on the templar guardsman.
Click on the church door to enter the church.

Take notice of the hidden number (click it).
Go further into the church.

Take notice of the two more hidden numbers.
Turn right to the candles.

Find the freshly lit candle.
Go back and proceed to the altar.

Take note of the hidden number.
Click the altar to activate a mini-game.

After you solve the mini-game and cross drops, take the red marble.
Go back all the way to the confession booth.
Remove the confession booth curtain.
Click the interior of confession booth to bring up the zoom-scene.

Use the red marble from your inventory on the slot in the middle of the cross. Cover will drop down.
Use the lit candle from your inventory on the dark hole to light it up. Sacristy key is revealed.
Take the sacristy key.
Go back and go to the candles again.
Use the sacristy key from your inventory on the sacristy door (right door).

Find the 4x wolf coin and black pyramid in the sacristy.
Click on the locker to bring up its zoom-scene.

Find a wolf coin.
Click on the locker's lock mechanism to bring it up closer.
Insert 5 wolf coins from your inventory into the 5 slots around the head.
Click the head to push it. Locker will open.
Take the church key from the locker.

Chapter 5: Church

You are at the atrium. Go back to the church entrance.
Bertold is awaiting you in front of the church just as he promised. Talk to the Bertold.
Use the church key from your inventory on the church door.
Find the weight, skull and green marble in the church.
Proceed further into the church.

Find the weight and rose in the church hallway.
Go left to the mausoleum door.

Find the green marble, rose and skull at the mausoleum door.
Go back, and go turn right to the sacristy.

Find the 2x green marble.
Enter the sacristy through the right door.

Find the following items in the sacristy: 2x green marble, rose, weight, hammer and skull.
Click the table to bring up its zoom-scene.

Find a purple marble on the zoom-scene.
Remove all books from the table by repeatedly clicking on them.
Click the revealed contraption to switch to it.
Put all three skulls and all three roses from your inventory into the slots. Mini-game will activate. Solve it to get the office key.

Click the tower door and find a purple marble.
Exit the sacristy.

Use the office key from your inventory on the left office door.

Find the following items in the office: purple marble, green marble, 2x weight and rope.
Click the table to bring up its zoom-scene.

Find a coin and a purple marble on the zoom-scene.
Close the zoom-scene and click the cabinet.

Insert the four purple marbles from your inventory into the four slots. Mini-game will activate.
After you solve the mini-game, exit the office and go back to the church hallway.

Click the dark tile on the floor to bring up its zoom-scene.

Use hammer from your inventory on the tile to break it.
Click the revealed mini-game.
Insert the coin from your inventory in the center slot of the mini-game to activate it.
Easiest way to solve this mini-game is to click each light exactly once.
After you solve the mini-game, turn left to the mausoleum door.

Put the rope from your inventory on the hook in the upper region of the door.
Put all of the five weights from your inventory onto the pedestal. Door will open.
Enter the mausoleum.

Find a green marble in the mausoleum.
Go left to the puzzle.

Find an axe at the puzzle.
Go back and go right.

Find a torch on this scene.
Use the torch which is now in your inventory on any torch on the wall to light up your torch.
Go back.

After you have lighted up your torch, click the storage room door to bring up its zoom-scene.
Use the axe from your inventory on the padlock.
Click the storage room door to enter the storage.

It is dark inside. Use the lit torch from your inventory on the dark torch on the wall.

Find the letter, cross key and a green marble in the storage room.
Go back and go right all the way to the skeleton.

Click the small box under skeleton's arm to bring up its zoom-scene.

Use the cross key from your inventory on the box. You will get a drawing and a green marble.
Go back all the way to the puzzle (leftmost path).

Double-click the letter in your inventory to read it (note the symbols in the upper-right corner of the letter).
Exit the letter, and solve the mini-game. You will get a small key.
Go back, exit the mausoleum and in the church hallway go right.

Click on the wall safe to bring up its zoom-scene.
Use the small key from your inventory on the padlock. Padlock will drop down.
Click the cover handle to open it.
Solve the mini-game. You will get the tower key.
Go through the right door to the sacristy.
In the sacristy, click on the right door to bring up its zoom-scene.
Use the tower key from your inventory on the door lock.

Click on one of the three crosses and insert the green marbles from your inventory into the slots on the cross. Mini-game of that cross will activate, solve it. The colored symbols you saw on the church office billboard are the hint for each of the three crosses.
Repeat this for the remaining two crosses.
After you've solved all three crosses, click on the chest to bring up its zoom-scene.

Insert the black pyramids from your inventory into the chest slots.
Click the middle of the chest and solve the mini-game.
After you solve the mini-game, chest will open.
Take the spear from the opened chest.
Exit the church and talk to the Bertold.

Chapter 6: Village

Find a cabbage on the scene.
Click the village well to bring up its zoom-scene.
Find the book and a shaft separator on the zoom-scene.
Go to the garden on the left.

Find the cabbage, book and a wooden shaft on the scene.
Talk to the Brother Leonard.
Go to the labyrinth entrance.

Find the cabbage and a book at the labyrinth entrance.
Go back to the village square.
Go to the inn.

Find spatula, cart scheme and a plank on the scene.
Talk to the inn keeper.
Go upstairs to the inn storage.

Find a cabbage and a wooden wheel on the scene.
Go back to the village square.
Go straight ahead to the house.

Find a cabbage and the scissors on the scene.
Click the gardening tools to bring up the zoom-scene.
Find a cabbage and the saw.
Go back to the square and turn right to the broken cart.

Find a book in the scene.
Put 6x cabbage from your inventory into the cabbage crates.
Use the following items from your inventory on the cart: shaft separator, wooden shaft, plank and wheel.
Go back to the village square, turn left to the inn and talk to the innkeeper. He will be grateful and give you the bone for the Agnes' dog.
Go back to the square, and proceed forward to the house.
Give bone from your inventory to the dog.
Enter the house.

Find the coin in the house.
Talk to Agnes.
Enter the Jarvis' room on the left.

Talk to Jarvis.
Find a coin in the room.
Open the drawer and then click on the opened drawer to bring up its zoom scene.
Take the old key.
Exit the Jarvis' room, the house and return to the village square.
Go to the inn, and climb up the stairs to the inn storage.

Use the old key from your inventory on the storage door.

Find the following items on the scene: brush, book, pickaxe and coin.
Exit the storage, go back to the village square and go to the garden on the left.
Talk to the Brother Leonard. He will give you the labyrinth gates key.
Go to the labyrinth entrance past the Brother Leonard on the right.
Click the labyrinth gate to bring up its zoom-scene.

Use the labyrinth gates key from your inventory on the padlock.
Go back to the village square.

Take the book from the floor. Templar guard will object, but can be easily bribed with three coins you found earlier.
Go back to the house, into the Jarvis' room.
Talk to Jarvis. He will give you the map.
Talk to Jarvis again to tell him you've unlocked the labyrinth gates.

Chapter 7: The Dark Ritual

After the dialogue, go to the labyrinth on the left.
At the gates, proceed straight ahead into the labyrinth.
Find the way to the other side of the labyrinth. If you make a mistake (i.e., turn the wrong way) you will end up back at the beginning.

Proceed straight into the chapel.

Talk to the Brother Lucian to find out the secret kept for decades.
Exit the chapel.
Go to the inn. You will encounter the hostile templar guard. Solve the match3 mini-game to defeat him.
Go upstairs to the inn storage room.

Find rope and tar in the storage room.
Go back to the village square.

Click the village well to bring up its zoom-scene.
Click the well to remove the cover.
Use rope from your inventory on the well.

Find pliers in the well.
Climb back up.
Return to the inn storage room.

Click the barrel under the table to bring up its zoom scene.
Use the pliers from your inventory on the barrel to get the nails.
Click the barrel cover to remove it.
Take a crowbar from the barrel.
Return back to the village square and enter the village well again.

Use crowbar from your inventory on the grate.
Proceed further into the passage.

Click the skull on the right. Scheme parts will drop down.
Take the scheme parts from the floor.
Use the scheme parts from your inventory on the door.
Solve the mini-game to unlock the door to the catacombs.

Find a blue stone.
Go left at the first entrance into the mausoleum.

Find the blue stone, 2x cogwheel, cloth and a plank.
Go back.

Go left at the second entrance into the altar room.

Find the cogwheel and a blue stone.
Solve the mini-game at the mirror to get another cogwheel.
Exit the altar room.

Click on the secret locker.

Put cogwheel from your inventory onto the four cogwheel poles. Mini-game will activate.
Solve the mini-game to unlock the secret locker.

Click the secret locker again to open it.
Take the blue stone from the secret locker.
Use plank from your inventory on the gap.
Go straight ahead to the lake door.

Find blue marble on the scene.
Put all blue marbles from your inventory on the door.

Find the oar and a stone head on the scene.
Go right to the dock.

Find the stone head, plank and a hammer on the scene.
Put the bird stone head from your inventory on the bird statue.
Put the beast stone head from your inventory on the beast statue.
An opening in the stone will open. Take the chest key from the opening.
Proceed straight ahead to the organ and solve the mini-game to open the lake exit gate.
Return to the Lake, go back to the catacombs entrance all the way back to the skull and chest (see next screenshot).

Use the chest key from your inventory on the chest to open it.
Take the lever from the chest.
Return to the lake.

Use the cloth from your inventory on the tar from your inventory. You will get the tarred cloth.
Use the following items from your inventory on the broken boat (in that order): plank, nails, hammer and tarred cloth.
Use oar from your inventory on the boat to go to the lake exit.

Use the lever from your inventory on the mechanism on the wall.
Click the mechanism and solve the mini-game to open the exit door.
Proceed straight up the stairs.

After the dialogue click the statue and solve the mini-game to open the hatch.

Go down the hatch.

Click the Angel to bring up the zoom-scene.
Talk to the angel.
After the dialogue use the spear from your inventory on the angel. Congratulations, you have completed Where Angels Cry!
